is based on the successful Glasgow publication
available in selected bars such as the legendary (Andreas Costa's) Alhambra,
The Marquis, Ronnie's Bar,
etc. in the late 1980s. Sadly these dives no longer inhabit the bevvyist
landscape of Glasgow’s city centre, alas, nor does the paper version of this
what you are now perusing.
However - some happy news - this trendy
new-fangled, on-your-computer-screen version is, as it happens, produced by the
original source from whom you went radio-rental in the effort towards obtaining
a copy. It is not some blatant copy by a low-life, it’s the legit/actual “Nothing
Is Sacred”-type thing you knew and loved.
Some online sites are there to
'help' you meet
someone who is a hideous growler and not remotely resembling anything like the
mugshot on their profile, and if someone catches you, it’s the usual thing
to pretend you’re reading up on sport, travel, politics or the arts, or you could
put www.guttered.net on your bookmark toolbar,
sure you could, and flick to it in a carefree gallas 'couldny care less' way.
Of course there are literary websites that
include poetry and short stories or porn for the sexually ambiguous, sad or
retarted. Guttered however, being immensely cultured, is limitless in its
spectrum and appeal. Is that sufficiently pretentious and patronising?
The content in here comes from
a variety of
sources: some I've written myself, some has been written by friends, and some
has been contributed by other Internet users just like you. I hope you enjoy
it. Should you not, however, then please don't hesitate to fuck off.
